PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop excavation attachment operation in a dangerous direction by overload in consideration of crane operation characteristics specific to a hydraulic excavator with crane functions. SOLUTION: In this hydraulic excavator with crane functions having an excavation attachment attached to a excavator body and having a suspending device for crane operations mounted on the attachment, an excavation attachment attitude determining section 41c for determining an attitude of the attachment during crane operations, overload detecting sections 41a, 41b for detecting overload when operating the crane, and an excavation attachment control section 41d to stop operation of the attachment at least in a direction increasing in load ratio on the basis of the determination by the determining section 41c when detecting overload are provided.
