PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cutter used in a cutting process for an adhesive tape, etc., and a supporting jig for cutter whereby it is possible to perform smoothly the exfoliating operation for the affixed adhesive tape and prevent the adhering surface from being contaminated. SOLUTION: A cutter part 40 is installed at the front of a supporting base 11 having a reel supporting part to support rotatably a reel 30 which holds the adhesive tape 20. The cutter part 40 is fitted with a supporting plate piece 41 and a movable plate piece 42 capable of being opened and closed relative to the plate 41 through a bottom hinge shaft 43, and an energizing spring 44 energizes in the direction that the movable plate piece 42 spreads, and a cutting blade 46 is installed in the upper part of the outer side face of the movable plate piece 42. When the tape 20 is to be cut, the movable plate piece 42 is overlapped on the supporting plate piece 41, which allows simply forming a nipping margin A at the drawn-out end of the tape 20.
