PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for preventing a flaw or the like on an outer packaging member which has a simple construction and can be easily handled, wherein an apparatus such as an image forming apparatus is stored in such a manner that a carrying grip is projected from the outer surface of the apparatus. SOLUTION: A fixture 1 is interposed between grips 20, 20 projecting from the outer surfaces 27, 27 of outer packaging members 26, 26 disposed side by side. Reference pin 4 and a fixing pin 5 of the fixture 1 are inserted into locking holes 21 of the grips 20, 20 respectively to hold the members 26, 26 at predetermined locations. Further, a cushioning material 22 is held between the outer surfaces 28, 28 of the members 26, 26 to protect the members 26, thereby preventing flaws from occurring.
