PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately regulate a developer thickness (including almost 0) carried on a developer carrier without giving overstress to a developer at development or un-development. SOLUTION: In a two-component developing device, the surplus of developers G caught on the surface of a developer carrier 3 is made to fall near the height of the center of rotation O of the developer carrier 3, and the developers G regulated at a prescribed thickness is carried and transported to a developing area (m) by devising the magnetic pole 6 layout (particularly, a pickup magnetic pole 6b, a trimming magnetic pole 6c) of a magnet member 5 arranged inside the developer carrier 3. An electrifying member 9 is arranged at the circumference of the developer carrier 3 when necessary. Moreover, the magnetic pole 6 layout of the magnet member 5 arranged inside the developer carrier 3 is variably set at development and un-development. The amount of developers carried on the surface of the developer carrier and transported to the developing area (m) is set to be almost 0 at un-development. |
