PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing propylene oxide by oxidation of propylene, that is, producing the propylene oxide from the propylene in the presence of oxygen or a peroxide at a higher selectivity and yield than conventional ones. SOLUTION: This method for producing propylene oxide comprises oxidizing propylene with oxygen or a peroxide using a catalyst obtained by supporting a titanium compound or the titanium compound and a transition metal compound on a high-silica zeolite having >=500 Si/Al2 ratio. |
