PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device simultaneously carrying out dispersion compensation of wavelength dispersion and wavelength dispersion slope actually accumulated to optical fiber in multiple channels and in multiple wavelength ranges by having an arbitrary wavelength dispersion and a wavelength dispersion slope generated. SOLUTION: In the device, beams of each wavelength outputted in angular dispersion from a VIPA board are converged by a lens, diffracted by a pair of gratings that also double as an optical path deviation generating means and an optical path deviated quantity varying means and deviations in the optical paths of beams of different wavelength are generated. Thus, when the beams are reflected on a dispersion flattening 3 dimensional mirror and inputted again to the VIPA board, the wavelength dispersion quantity that is different for each wavelength can be realized since each wavelength hits a part of the 3 dimensional mirror with a different dispersion compensating quantity and therefore, adjustment of the dispersed quantity of WDM beam over all wavelength and adjustment of the wavelength dispersion slope can be carried out independently. |
