PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base plate for lithographic printing plate, hardly damaged and easy to handle in a normal work, excellent in print wear and resistance to staining, and a supporting body for the lithographic printing plate suitably employed for the base plate. SOLUTION: The supporting body for lithographic printing plate obtained by applying surface roughening treatment, alkaline etching treatment and anodizing treatment on an aluminum plate, is provided on the surface with a pit having minute recessed and projected structure having a ratio of a real area the apparent surface area of 1.3-1.8 and a mean diameter of 0.3-1.0 μm while the ratio of the apparent area of the pit to the apparent surface area is 90% or more. The base plate for lithographic printing plate is constituted of an image recording layer provided on the supporting body for lithographic printing plate. |
