<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding material which is not embrittled even when the content of Al is increased in a Cu-Al based alloy, and has excellent wear resistance and seizure resistance. SOLUTION: The copper alloy contains 38 to 48% Cu, 1 to 2% Sn, 4 to 20% Pb, 18 to 30% Al and 15 to 25% Si. The copper alloy contains a Cu9 Al4 intermetallic compound in which the X-ray diffraction intensity of the (330) plane in Cu9 Al4 is 4 to 30 (no unit) provided that the X-ray diffraction intensity of the (111) plane of Cu is 100.</p> |
