PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact printer having high reliability in terms of noise, especially, realizing optimum power supply and signal transmission and having high image quality. SOLUTION: A recording material carrying path from a paper feeding roller 2 to a fixing device 11 through a transfer roller 9 is provided obliquely upward in a state where the fixing means 11 is set as an uppermost part, and a electric part 15 is arranged lower than the recording material carrying path. The heating parts of the electric part 15 are mounted on the rear surface of the device, and the electric part 15 and a scanner unit 5 are electrically connected through an image processing part 100. An interface 101 between the scanner unit 5 and the image processing part 100 and an interface 102 between the image processing part 100 and the electric part 15 are arranged in the perpendicular extension area of the projection area of the scanner unit 5 in a recording material carrying direction.
