PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera which has an easy-to-assemble operation member support structure and also has a simple metal mold structure for molding a camera exterior body. SOLUTION: This camera is characterized by that its release button 11 is unitized as a release button unit 71 and engaged with a frame 55 in a freely disengaged state. An FPC 75 on which a release switch 76 is mounted is arranged below the release button unit 71. While the R-button unit 71 is engaged, the R button 11 can be switched on and off. The release button unit 71 is held while engaged with the frame 55 by sandwiching the wall part of a switch mount part 55w between opening parts 2m and 3g of a front cover 2 and a rear cover 3. In this holding state, the R button 11 is held by step parts 2ml and 2gl of the front cover 2 and rear cover 3 while prevented from falling.
