PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an adhesive for polyester films only usable for cans, but also high adhesion on an overcoated film. SOLUTION: This thermosetting adhesive for the polyester film-laminated cans is characterized as comprising (A) 100 pt.wt. of a hydroxy group-containing polyester resin having a number-average molecular weight within the rang of 4,000-40,000, (B) 5-100 pts.wt. of a blocked polyisocyanate and (C) 1-20 pts.wt. of a phosphate group [-OPO(OH)(R1 )] (wherein, R1 is hydroxy group, phenyl group or a 1-20C alkyl group)]-containing resin.
