PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing damage evaluation technique capable of precisely evaluating a bearing damage, particularly a bearing damage evaluation technique capable of not only qualitatively but also quantitatively evaluating the bearing damage. SOLUTION: In this bearing damage evaluation device, a damage generated in a bearing inner ring 21 is evaluated by generating ultrasonic wave from an ultrasonic probe 3 mounted on a bearing housing 1 for supporting a bearing 2 toward the bearing outer ring 20 of the bearing housing 1 and measuring the reflected wave from the boundary between the bearing housing 1 and the bearing outer ring 20. This device comprises an echo height ratio calculation means for determining an echo height ratio from the reflected wave received by the ultrasonic probe 3 and a waveform analytic means for analyzing the deformation degree of the waveform signal of the determined echo height ratio. The waveform analytic means performs a damage evaluation by analyzing the magnitude of a local recessed part or the like observed in a waveform.
