PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating/sealing material composition for a lithium ion cell which is insoluble in an electrolysis solution of a lithium ion cell, can neutralize the acidic component of the electrolysis solution, making it harmless, is excellent in applicability and sealing properties, and has good softness, adhesiveness, and storage stability. SOLUTION: This sealing material composition contains (A) a copolymer which has silicon atoms bonded thereto and having hydrolyzable functional groups and has a main chain substantially comprising (a) units derived from an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer having a 1-8C alkyl group and (b) units derived from an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer having a 10-30 C or higher alkyl group, (B) a moisture-curing catalyst, (C) an aminosilane compound, and (D) an inorganic filler selected from among metal carbonates, metal hydroxides, and metal oxides.
