PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a platelike body conveyance device capable of storing a platelike body to be conveyed during conveyance as required. SOLUTION: A conveyance path part in which conveyance rotary bodies 3 are provided in parallel at an adequate interval in the conveyance direction is provided in a conveyance line for the platelike body P, and temporary storage means 13, 14 for the platelike body P are provided in parallel in two front and rear sections in the conveyance direction in the conveyance path part. Each of the storage means 13, 14 is provided with platelike body support devices 17 at a plurality of up and down steps at such interval that the platelike body P can pass between vertically adjacent platelike body support devices 17, and each platelike body support device 17 is constituted by providing a plurality of thin bar bodies 18 in the direction of width on the right and left sides capable of rising and lowering between the conveyance rotary bodies 3 in the conveyance direction at the same level to perform scooping up operation scooping up the platelike body P stopped at the fixed position in the conveyance path part by the platelike body support devices 17 by the rising and lowering movement of the platelike body support devices 17 and lowering operation lowering the scooped-up platelike body P on the conveyance path part.
