PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly load recording paper in an image forming device body by arranging the recording paper in layers on a push-up plate in this paper feeding cassette. SOLUTION: This paper feeding cassette is provided with a cassette case 11 having an opening upper surface part, housing recording paper in layers inside, and inserted into and extracted from the image forming device body, the push-up plate 12 arranged inside this cassette case, and pivoted on the cassette case so as to rock in the vertical direction between a lower side recording paper setting position A for placing the recording paper housed in layers in the cassette case, and an upper side paper feeding position B capable of separating and delivering the placed recording paper, an elastic member for applying upward force to this push-up plate, a separating claw 14 for pressing down the recording paper placed on the push-up plate existing in the paper feeding position from the upper side, and a stopping member 18 for engaging and stopping the push-up plate rocked upward by being pushed up by the elastic member in a stopping position C between the recording paper se tting position and the paper feeding position so as to be engageable and disengageable.
