PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage a physical relationship between a print head and print paper in a stamp type printer. SOLUTION: The printer 1 is provided with a contact state display feature which is equipped with a first to a fourth contact detection parts 35, 35, 35, 35 detecting a contact state to a paper surface of the print paper 500, and a first to a fourth contact display parts 36, 36, 36, 36 as indicators to inform a user the detection results by the first to fourth detection parts 35, 35, 35, 35.
