PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate an external member from an internal member of aluminum shapes by providing an insulating member such as a synthetic rubber or the like between both members for interrupting the propagation of heat thereby prohibiting the transmission of outside air temperature to the internal member. SOLUTION: The top light has a construction which insulates an outer frame member 3 to which a plate glass 43 of the top light is attached and an inner frame member 12 which fixes the top light to the building side through insulating members 5, 6, 13 and 14 formed from synthetic rubber or natural rubber. It is divided into a basic frame portion 1 and a roof frame member 2 constituted of the aluminum shape members, respective spring storing frame portions 17 and 18 are provided for the inner members 4 and 12 of both the members, coil springs 31 and 32 are housed in cylinder holes 19 and 20 drilled in these frame portions, and elastic force is experted so as to push up the end portions of pop up arms 25 and 25 interposed in a cross bar shape between the basic frame member 1 and the roof frame member 2.
