PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability on the connection between electric connecting parts mounted on a head holding member, when a recording head is mounted in the head holding member, and also to improve positioning precision of the recording head against the head holding member. SOLUTION: The recording head 1 having a cord edge 14 is attachably and detachably mounted on a carriage 3 reciprocally movably mounted in a recording apparatus. A card edge connecter 13 connecting to the card edge 14 is mounted in the carriage 3. The card edge connecter 13 is movably supported in the Y direction relative to the carriage 3 and in the X direction orthogonal to the Y direction, and is energized by a head positioning spring 15 in the direction such that a positioning face 1b and the head positioning face 3b of the carriage 3 press against each other when the recording head 1 is in mounting operation.
