PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial aggregate which can be easily obtained using coal ash as a main raw material without requiring much labor and time and which has a low percentage of water-absorption and high strength, and to provide a method of producing the same, by which the artificial aggregate having excellent properties mentioned above and low quality dispersion can be produced. SOLUTION: The artificial aggregate is a fired material of a mixture containing the coal ash as a main component, a clay mineral and/or a hydraulic inorganic material, and the content of the crystal transformation of silicon dioxide is <=40 wt.%. |
