PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic material which can be produced by sintering at a low temperature of <=950 deg.C and exhibits excellent piezoelectric characteristics, especially excellent elongation (d33 ) in the longitudinal direction and low dissipation function (tan δ) even at high Curie temperature Tc, and a ceramic material having an excellent electromechanical coupling factor (Kp). SOLUTION: The ceramic material contains, as main components, Pb, Zr and Ti and expressed by general formula: ABOd, wherein, A is expressed by (Pb1-a M<1> a-b ) and/or B is expressed by [(M<2> 1/3 Nb2/3-c )α Zrβ Tiγ ], and the ceramic material is expressed by formula: PbXM<3> 1-x [(M<4> 1/3 Nb2/3 )e (Co1/3 Nb2/3 )f (Zn1/3 Nb2/3 )g Zrh TiI ]O3 . |
