When the voltage of the pulse Pps rises to exceed 250 V, which is the discharge start threshold voltage, weak discharge is generated between scanning electrodes and maintaining electrodes. Having completed the above operation and when the voltage of the pulse Pps exceeds 350 V, which is the discharge start threshold voltage between the opposing electrodes, weak discharge is generated between the scanning electrodes and data electrodes because many activated particles created by the discharge between the surface electrodes exist in the discharge space.
