PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid filling machine provided with a chain elongation detection device capable of simply measuring an elongated state caused by the wear of a chain in a short time. SOLUTION: In this liquid filling machine having a direct advance conveyance device constituted by a sprocket 3a on a drive side attached to a pair of drive shafts, a sprocket 2a on a driven side attached to a driven shaft, and the endless chain 1 attached by winding around both sprockets, the direct advance conveyance device is provided with a rotary phase position detection means 4 detecting an arbitrary rotary phase position of the sprocket on the driven side, a rotary phase angle detection means 3d detecting a rotary phase reference angle and a rotary phase inspection angle of the sprocket on the drive side for the arbitrary rotary phase position of the sprocket on the driven side detected by the position detection means, and a detection function detecting the elongation of the chain using a change amount of the rotary phase angle of the sprocket on the drive side for the rotary phase position of the sprocket on the driven side by the position detection means 4 and the rotary phase angle detection means 3d.
