Process and apparatus for electroerosion milling three-dimensional workpieces

The method of three dimensional electro-erosion machining of a workpiece (14) uses a cylinder electrode (13) with a small diameter (2R) in relation to the work. The electrode is numerically controlled for movement (x,y,z). Multiple values for the longitudinal wear on the electrode (31) following a geometrical configuration between the electrode and adjacent work surface. Wear compensating signals are transmitted corresponding to the numerical control values. An Independent claim is included for a machine using the method.
