摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply control device of an internal combustion engine capable of suitably controlling the forced valve opening timing of a relief valve to decrease the opportunity to catch foreign matter, and surely improving fuel consumption. SOLUTION: While an engine is stopped, the existence/absence of foreign matter caught in the relief valve is detected. In the case where the engine automatic stop condition is established according to reading of the operating condition, when the foreign matter catch flag is ON, the valve closing start timing DT of the solenoid valve for adjusting the force-feed period of high pressure fuel is set to the earliest specified valve closing timing DTY among the settable timings. Whereupon, boosting is performed until the fuel pressure in a delivery pipe exceeds the set valve opening pressure of the relief valve. Accordingly, the relief valve is forced to open, so that the caught foreign matter is discharged with released high pressure fuel. When an engine is stopped after that, the fuel pressure in the delivery pipe is kept substantially equal to the set valve opening pressure for a while.
