PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a developing means is not damaged by the excessive lowering of the amount of developers in the developing means at the time of the replacement of a developer supply unit. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a toner density sensor 45 which detects supply of toner from a toner supply unit 5 to a developing unit 4, and a main body memory 28 which reads and stores the individual identification information of the toner. |
