PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve difficulty in seeing a road map by displaying the road map so as to coincide with the direction of a destination felt by a driver of a vehicle. SOLUTION: Supposing the vehicle advances along a road 20, the advancing direction of the road 20 at a point (1) separate by a predetermined distance from a present vehicle position 21 is anticipated as the road direction. The road map is displayed with the advancing direction of the road 20 at the point (1) as the upper side as indicated in (a). (b) indicates a state of displaying the road map with the vehicle travel direction in the present vehicle position 21 as the upper side, and a virtual line is indicated by superposing a display of the (a). The display direction of the road map changes when the vehicle travel direction changes along the road 20 in (b), and does not change up to reaching the point (1) in (a). |
