PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply provide a method which surely performs absolutely required confirmation and measurement of an ultrahigh speed of rotation by a completely different method, because the wrong recognition of the ultrahigh speed of rotation is directly connected to serious accident. SOLUTION: An 'illumination and speed-of-rotation verification lamp', which is improved so as to generate up to about twentieth-order harmonics, an 'observation board' which reacts with its slight blink and in which color stripe patterns, due to the interference of light are generated on the surface and a 'reference map', in which the number of the stripe patterns generated in each order on its observation face is compared with a speed of rotation at this time so as to be changed in a graph are used. The 'observation board' is attached in advance to the shaft end or the like of a rotating body. In the speeding-up and slowing-down process of its rotation, the number of moments, in which the whole face of the 'observation board' is observed as a static image is counted. The number is designated as (n). The generation state of the number (Z) of the stripe patterns, after its settling operation, is collated with the 'reference map', and a speed of rotation (N) is verified.
