PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a locking structure for an opening door of an engine generator with a simple constitution, thereby improving the operatability, and to prevent chattering noises of the door during driving the engine generator. SOLUTION: The door 5 includes at its one end a hinge 6 which openably supports the door, and a lock device 8 secured at the other end thereof, to which a lock plate 12 is pivotally attached by means of a pivot 11 in such a manner that the lock plate is pivotally moved to rotate a locking recess portion 12a when a handle 13 is moved. A support 3b is provided, at the position corresponding to the locking recess portion 12a, with a stopper 14 comprising a cylindrical rod 14b and a plate 14a. The lock plate is formed with a slant portion 12b at an end portion thereof making contact with a side face of the rod 14b when the door 5 is closed. Further, a contact plate 15 is secured to the support 3b at the position corresponding to the end portion of the door 5, so that a rear face of the door 5 is made in contact with the contact plate 15 at a position where a surface of the locking recess portion 12a is opposed to the side face of the rod 14b with a slight gap interposed therebetween when the door 5 is fully closed.
