PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily install a gas meter in a narrow space where the distance (clearance) between a wall and the gas meter is set as short as possible in the case of installing the gas meter. SOLUTION: An inlet side gas pipe (a) and an outlet side gas pipe b disposed behind the gas meter A are formed a thin and rectangular shape. Thereby, a piping space between the gas meter A and the wall D behind the gas meter A can be made smaller in comparison with a circular gas pipe because of the thin shape (flat shape). As a result, the gas meter A can be easily installed in the narrow space. Accordingly, it is effective, in particular, in the case where the gas meter A is installed in a pipe shaft.
