PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease a circuit scale to the utmost and to drive a liquid crystal display panel, without causing disorder of the color balance of an image. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a parallel/serial conversion circuit 34, which performs the pixel-by-pixel parallel/serial conversion of digital image data, circuits 35 and 36 which process the image data obtained by the parallel/ serial converting circuit 34 byγ-correction and A/D conversion, and a serial/ parallel conversion circuit composed of sample and hold circuits 37 to 39, which performs the serial/parallel conversion of the image data processed by those circuits and AND circuits 41 to 43.
