PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rough skin inhibitor effectively exhibiting rough skin inhibitory action through formulating various medicaments and/or cosmetics, and to prepare a cosmetic formulated with lysozyme chloride affording rough skin inhibitory effect, or the like, and to be directly applied to the skin in the form of a lotion, milky lotion, gel or cream. SOLUTION: The rough skin inhibitor comprises lysozyme chloride as the active ingredient. The cosmetic includes >0.8 mass% of lysozyme chloride, an antioxidant, edetic acid, a salt thereof, sodium gluconate or a mixture thereof, and as necessary, an inorganic thickening agent, cationic high-molecular thickening agent, nonionic high-molecular thickening agent or a mixture thereof, has a pH of 3.5-6.5, is in the form of a lotion, milky lotion, gel or cream, and is to be directly applied to the skin.
