PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a connecting state of a predetermined site of an upper pressure chamber 5 to an upper hot air supply duct 9 even when the chamber 5 is moved in a vertical direction without using a cornice duct. SOLUTION: An air floating type drying furnace comprises an upper pressure chamber 5 having an upper nozzle 7 for blowing a hot air from an upper direction to a material W to be dried, an upper hot air supply duct 9 having one end connected to a predetermined site of the chamber 5, a lower pressure chamber 11 having a lower nozzle 13 for blowing the hot air from a lower direction to the material W, a lower hot air supply duct 15 having one end connected to the predetermined site of the chamber 11 so that the chamber 5 is constituted to be movable in the vertical direction to the duct 9, a sliding duct 21 axially movably provided at the predetermined site of the chamber 5, an energizing member 25 for urging the duct 21 to the duct 9 side, a first resin sealing plate 27 provided at another end surface of the duct 21, and a second resin sealing plate 31 provided at one end face of the duct 9 to airtightly contacting with the sealing plate 27.
