PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and quickly detect fullness of ice. SOLUTION: A vertically movable detection plate 60 is provided on a lower surface of a cover 31 of an ice storage chamber 30 so as to cover ice pieces, and two detection switches 66 are provided on both sides of the cover 31 putting the center of the same longitudinally therebetween for detecting the rise of a rod 61 vertically provided on the detection plate 60. When the ice pieces are accumulated in the ice storage chamber 30, its upper surface is not necessarily horizontal at all times. There is an occasion where the upper surface is inclined, and in this case the detection plate 60 is also inclined and is raised as indicated by a chain line in the figure. Provided that the detection switch 66 is only one located left, a lowering side of the inclined detection plate 60 corresponds thereto, so that the detection switch 66 is not yet off. In this situation the right side detection switch 66 is provided together with the left side one, so that a raised side corresponds thereto when the detection plate 60 is inclined, and the right detection switch 66 is turned off while responding to a magnet 63 in the rod 61, whereby the fullness of ice is detected.
