PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift operating device, having superior durability and fast operating speed and capable of being constituted compact for the device as a whole. SOLUTION: In this shift operating device, having a select actuator for operating a shift lever in a select direction and a shift actuator for operating the shift lever in the shifting direction, the selected actuator is constituted of a rotary solenoid which is connected to the shift lever and is rotated in a control shaft shift direction and the shift actuator is provided with a moving magnet body disposed on the outer peripheral surface of a control shaft, a cylindrical fixed yoke disposed by surrounding the moving magnet body and a coil disposed inside the fixed yoke.
