PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of conveying by using a crane in a building and its device, when an article in a region, which can not be hoisted by an overhead crane in the building, is conveyed. SOLUTION: This method conveys an article by a hoist device movable in a lower part of an article conveying beam suspended from an overhead crane in a building, to hold a first jig by the overhead crane of the two support jigs mounted in an upper part of the article conveying beam, to hold a second jig fixed in a perpendicular direction by a building structure in the building so as to place a moving end position of the hoist device of the article conveying beam out of the building, the method of conveying the article by a crane in the building and its device are characterized by conveying the article under a condition satisfying a specific formula considering balance of the article conveying beam in the case of conveying the conveyed article in/out the building or in the vicinity of a building wall.
