PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the storable length of a format in a device for separating sheets 7 and 20 formed with sheet-like materials and fed adjacently to each other of such a type that the sheets are fed along routes 2 and 62 forming one common wedge-like area 36, and one sheet is transferred into the route of the other sheet inside transfer areas 12.1 and 26. SOLUTION: A guide device 17 for maintaining the separation of the sheets from each other is disposed in the wedge-like area.
