PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that effectively prevents toner remaining on a recycling mechanism after a job from deteriorating due to heat. SOLUTION: The image forming device employs a two-component development system that uses toner which starts to flow at 105 deg.C or below, and has a toner recycling mechanism 14 which recovers transfer residual toner and carries the recovered toner to a developing device 5 again. The toner recycling mechanism 14 is driven for a fixed length of time even after the job is finished. Moreover, a mechanism is provided for controlling the time of driving the toner recycling mechanism 14 after the job, and another mechanism is provided for detecting the presence or absence of a both-sided printing job. Depending on the presence and absence of the both-sided printing job, the image forming device determines the time of driving the toner recycling mechanism 14 after the job. |
