PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer recording medium improving dispersibility of a coloring agent for constituting an ink layer of the recording medium or particularly a carbon black and having an excellent aging stability of an ink layer forming coating liquid and an excellent solvent resistance of a transfer image. SOLUTION: The thermal transfer recording medium comprises the thermal transfer ink layer containing a coloring agent and a thermoplastic resin on a heat resistant base. In this medium, the ink layer contains a compound represented by formula (1) Mg(R1 O)(CH3 COOHCOOR2 )}, (wherein R1 and R2 are each independently an alkyl or alkenyl group). |
