PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially advantageously separating and recovering vanadium from an acidic aqueous solution of pH<1.5 in which vanadium is dissolved as pentavalent vanadium. SOLUTION: The method for separating and recovering vanadium from the water to be treated at least containing vanadium and iron under the condition that the weight ratio of iron/vanadium is <=0.001 contains a pH control stage (i) where alkali is added to the water to be treated, and its pH is controlled to the range of 1.5 to 2.5; an adsorption stage ii where the water to be treated whose pH has been controlled is contacted with a basic anion exchange resin with sulfuric ions added, and the vanadium is adsorbed on the resin; and a desorption stage iii where the resin with the vanadium adsorbed is contacted with a desorption solution, and the vanadium is eluted into the desorption solution. In the pH control stage, the pH of the water to be treated is controlled so that the iron/vanadium ratio in the desorption solution obtained in the desorption stage reaches <=0.001. |
