PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminating apparatus capable of raising illuminances of the lowermost stage and the uppermost stage of a showcase without raising the light output of a lamp, and upgrading the illuminance balance of the overall showcase. SOLUTION: The illuminating apparatus comprises the lamp (2) provided forward of the upper stage of the showcase (1) to illuminate in the showcase (1), and a reflecting plate (3) for reflecting the light of the lamp (2). The apparatus further comprises a holding member (4) mounted on a top surface to hold the lamp (2), and the reflecting plate (3) suspended down at the forward side of the member (4).
