SOLUTION: A shielding device is provided with a transparent shielding plate 11 having bulletproof performance, a holding member 21 holding the shielding plate 11 on a ceiling side, and a guide material 31 vertically guiding the shielding plate 11. The holding member 21 can release and drop the shielding plate 11 in an emergency, close the window W on a counter table T via the shielding plate 11, and secure the safety of a clerk P.
