摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoelectric conversion material exhibiting excellent thermoelectric performance with lowered thermal conductivity, especially a CoSb3 -based material having skutterudite-type crystal structure which is excellent in thermoelectric performance and a low cost thermoelectric material, by a low cost process using raw material of abundant resources, solving problems of conventional thermoelectric materials, i.e., high thermal conductivity, impractical thermoelectric performance and raw material supply shortage. SOLUTION: This CoSb3 -based compound has a filled skutterudite structure filled with an element into the vacant lattice of a CoSb3 -based compound having skutterudite-type crystal structure, where the filled element is filled into the vacant lattice of CoSb3 -based compound by a solid phase reaction method of an oxide of the elements, i.e., Co element, Sb element or a substituting element of Co element and/or Sb element.
