Method whereby a document has at least one format- specific data element containing information to be transferred, with the master schema definition defining a correspondence between the data element in the master schema and the data element in the originating document. The computer system uses a decision function to assign data elements in the new format using to corresponding data elements in the master schema. An Independent claim is made for method for converting documents containing information in one format to documents with information in a second format. |
