PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure in which a fall-off prevention holding ring in diameter is made to shrink, in conjunction with the insertion of a pipe member for preventing it from damaging a joint for piping, and to maintain a stable locking condition after insertion. SOLUTION: This joint 1 for a resin pipe is used for connecting the resin pipe 2 as a pipe member and preventing it from coming off and is provided with a joint main body 4, a holding ring 5 having a plurality of retention claws 41, and an interlocking lock mechanism 6 interlocking with inserting operation of the rein pipe 2 for butt engaging the retention claws of the holding ring 5 to the resin pipe 2. The interlocking lock mechanism 6 is provided with a sleeve member 12, a C-shaped ring member 11, a lock ring 12, and a spring member 13 elastically energizing the lock ring 12. In the insertion of the resin pipe 2, the sleeve member 10 is slid by the resin pipe 2 for releasing the C- shaped ring member 11 from the sleeve member 10, and the C-shaped ring 11 is made to shrink in diameter by means of the lock ring 12 for abutting and engaging claw parts 42 of the holding claws 41 to the resin pipe 2. Consequently, the resin pipe 2 can be maintained in a stable locked condition, without causing damages during insertion. |
