PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device for fixing toner material to printed matter for an electrophotographic printer. SOLUTION: A fixing device having a substantial irradiating wavelength in the ultraviolet region to thermally melt the toner material is provided and the printed matter as a supporting body of the toner material can be substantially heated during the irradiating process of the device.
