PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation method for two-dimensional magnetic field, its program and a recording medium with the program recorded, capable of accurately calculating two-dimensional TM-mode electromagnetic field (TE mode for slab waveguide) in the case that two regions with different dielectric constants contact with a boundary of a straight line. SOLUTION: When a first medium, having a magnetic permeabilityμand a dielectric constantε1 and a second medium having a magnetic permeabilityμand a dielectric constant contactε2 with a boundary of a straight line in a plane, the x-y coordinates whose y axis is parallel to the boundary, is provided in the plane and electromagnetic components at grid points (iΔx, j>=y), (i+1/2)Δx, jΔy), ((i+1/2)Δx, (j+1/2)Δy)) (where i and j are integers) are calculated with a calculation program shown in the selection figure.
