PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device where an image of high quality can be formed by preventing deviation in image forming position in a multiple images formation. SOLUTION: In the device, correction time A for picture elements writing (=T+(tp-tp')) is calculated as a correction value for picture elements writing time T which is initially set by utilizing a difference value between a phase difference value tp in normal times and a phase difference value tp' when a phase misalignment is generated between the two signals in the whole signal and the SOS signal, by taking into account any deviation in phase difference between a whole signal and an SOS signal generated by influence of temperature, etc., inside and outside the device when an image forming job is started.
