PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas compressor capable of certainly exhibiting a sealing function of a check valve of the gas compressor. SOLUTION: The check valve 241 comprises a check valve case 28 mounted at an intake port 23, a core 251 elastically and movably supported by a spring 27 in the check valve case 28, and a cylindrical stopper 261 disposed at one end of the check valve case 28 so as to face to the core 25. The core 251 is impelled the stopper 28 by the spring 27, and thus a tapered surface 37 of the core 251 faces to and abuts on an annular tapered surface 39 of the stopper 26 to form a sealing part 40. When the tapered surface of the core abuts on the stopper, an aligning function is performed to butt the core on the stopper at a suitable position to provides the stable sealing function.
