PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent solid soap composition produced with high production efficiency and without an ageing process, having excellent transparency, storage stability and hardness, free from the perspiration of water even under a high temperature and high humidity conditions, and free from a trouble of becoming cloudy in use. SOLUTION: The transparent solid soap composition contains a sodium salt of a fatty acid or a mixed salt of sodium/potassium of a fatty acid, one or more kinds out of amphoteric surfactans, expressed by general formulae A to C, a nonionic surfactant, and one or more glycerin derivatives. Concrete examples of amphoteric surfactants expressed by general formulae A to C include cocoil imidazolinium betaine, coconut oil fatty acid amide propyldimethylaminoacetic acid betaine and lauryldimethylaminoacetic acid betaine.
