PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic-aliphatic polymerized-polycarbonate, useful as optical material and the like, free from in degradation of qualities, excellent in hue, and minimized in a foreign material. SOLUTION: An aromatic dicarbonate, an aliphatic dihydroxy compound having at lest one alicylic structure, and at least one aromatic dihydroxy compound, are melt polymerized in the presence of an alkali metal compound and/or an alkaline earth metal compound, to form the aromatic-aliphatic copolymerized compound. In the above process, the aromatic dihydroxy compound and the aromatic diester are mixed and dissolved to form a metal-mixed raw material, and the flow rate (kg/s) of this melt-mixed raw material to the polymerizing tank, divided by the filtration area (m<2> ) of a filter installed before the polymerizing tank, is set on 0.2 or above.
